The Hypothesis

At the moment, I’m finding myself confused on what my hypothesis should be really about. It’s a bit challenging to determine a specific topic to have strong arguments. Having lots of assignments’ work to do, and many deadlines are coming up, makes it difficult for me to think about such important thing.

Posting a blog per week helps me keep myself updated and improve my critical thinking. However sometimes I find it difficult to write a blog as it’s almost impossible to find the time to do so. To be honest, sometimes I couldn’t find the right words to express what’s in my mind and that also effect my writing quality in my blogs.

Moreover, the topic of my hypothesis will probably be related to the library. As already mentioned in previous blogs, libraries are being overlooked nowadays especially in Malta. People seems to avoid using the library nowadays as they are preferring to use technology which inevitably is taking over books. From own observations, Malta’s public libraries seem to be put aside when it comes to maintenance and book updates. I’m also finding different case studies to let myself explore what’s already in existence and what are the real needs related with the education of the public. One of the main things I would like to find out with my research is to create a project that encourages people to read, aiming also for children of a very young age, as to have them develop a habit of reading.

In order to achieve and brainstorm the topic of my hypothesis for my dissertation, I’m also trying to have meetings with different lecturers to have different opinions and ideas about the hypothesis.
